Josh Verne: Succeeding in Life and Business

Josh Verne is a successful entrepreneur with over two decades of growing, starting and selling businesses. He is the current Chief Executive Officer of Flocku.com. His favorite quote is “Vision is when you see what others do not see” – Jonathan Swift.

  1. Be a Leader and not a Boss

In management positions, there are two types of people. Bosses and leaders. A manager uses his position and title to have things done. He demands respect from his juniors and does all in his interest. On the other hand, a leader earns respect by putting the people ahead of himself, he then earns this regard and uses it to accomplish tasks that are set together by his team. You must be a leader if you want to succeed in life and management. Never demand respect. However, you should earn it to work for your common purpose as a team. You and your team can accomplish much if you serve your followers and out their interest first. Because of this, any goal ahead of you can be achieved.

  1. Everything is a Win

You should never sign an agreement to a deal that has two possible outcomes. A win or a loose. Always strive to make every situation a win. A win for your clients, a win for you, and a win for your workers results in a win in society. There is always a way to create a win for everyone no matter how hard the situation might look.

  1. Listen More, and Speak Less

This point is profound and straightforward. You will have more power in your words with the little amount of words you use in your speech. You will appear more attractive and authoritative if you speak less. When you say something, more people will listen to you.

  1. Have a Balanced Life

Life is a balancing gauge. You can own all the money in the world. However, you will suffer if your health and life care are out of order. On the other hand, you can have a shredded body and a loving family. However, you and your loved ones will suffer if you are not making enough money. Balance is not just about spending all the money you make on a daily basis.
